Yeah, I'm not sure where the group moderators are, they haven't been online in a long time. I do like this group but it isn't very active. Kind of a bummer.

I have a question about knitting in the round. I am working on a stag horn cable purse, and am just starting on the cable pattern. How do I tell which is the front of my work and which is the back?

When I knit in the round I use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of my work, you can add on in now if you can still tell. When you complete one round you just slide the stitch marker over and it will move up in your work. then I just use the starting point in a round as the beginning of the "front" of the work.

I discovered that the front side is the side that ends up stockinette when doing all knit stitch.
